Employment Opportunity Newscast Producer (Mornings) KTNV-TV News 13 Las Vegas, NV Scheduled Days & Hours: Full-time; Exempt Education: College Degree required; journalism emphasis preferred. Skills: Strong writing, news judgment and organizational skills are essential, must think creatively with story selection and ability to interact with audience, ability to work closely with others under deadline pressure, ability to think out of the box -- able to create a show filled with great video, emotion and movement, find ways to incorporate the web in newscast, knowledge of general broadcast newsroom operations; videotape editing skills helpful, ability to handle multiple live shots, must be able to implement findings of station research and directives of newsroom managers. Experience: Prefer two years or more producing experience as a newscast producer at a commercial broadcasting station, or experience as an executive producer in a smaller market. Duties: Seeking candidates to fill the position of a morning newscast producer. Work closely with newsroom, production and creative services departments to create compelling editorial and visual content; oversee story development and placement within newscast; coordinate on-air execution of news product; writing headlines, teases and other portions of newscast; must post stories and video on the web; produce, as needed, other newscasts, special broadcasts and projects.
