Job Description:
Generate story ideas
Write scripts using iNews
Conduct live and taped reports for newscasts
Conduct interviews
Edit videotape as necessary
Perform live shots
Operate various types of electronic equipment such as newsroom computer systems, editing machines, ENG trucks, and voice-tracking equipment
Carry equipment (tripod, camera, microphones, cable & power reels) and
Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned

Education Required:


Experience Required:
2 years previous experience as a news reporter in small to medium market preferred

Other Requirements:
2 years previous experience as a news reporter in small to medium market preferred
Ability to make extensive news contacts in Southern Nevada
Maintain highest journalistic standards
Must deal with pressure situations, demonstrate good news judgment and maintain a good attitude
Must edit dvc pro
On-call when assigned
Ability to carry camera/recording gear to any and all locations
Possess basic knowledge of all live trucks to assist photographers with set-up and break-down
Possess a valid Nevada driver’s license with no DUI convictions or able to obtain one within 30 days with a clean driving record
College graduate
