Location: KRNV-TV, News 4, Reno, Nevada Position: Photographer Northern Nevada’s first fully high definition television station seeks a creative, energetic individual to join its team. Shift: To Be Determined Typical Duties: Shoot news stories with ENG camera equipment as determined by news producers and assignment editor; Operate and coordinate live remotes (microwave) via ENG truck; Edit voice-overs, soundbites and packages; Build contacts and suggest story ideas daily; Gather information and report about news primarily in Northern Nevada; Participate in news editorial meetings; implement news research at the direction of the News Director; Operate newsroom computer, answer newsroom phones; and Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution. Requirements: Previous experience as a news photographer preferred; Skilled at operating ENG camera and editing equipment. Knowledge of live truck operation Must be competent to shoot news stories, deal with pressure situations, demonstrate good news judgment, and maintain highest journalistic standards; Computer literate; College graduate preferred; Available on-call when needed; Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record; Able to carry camera/recording gear to any and all locations; and Pass a pre-employment drug test.
