Employment Opportunity Executive Producer KTNV-TV News 13 Las Vegas, NV Scheduled Days & Hours: Full-time; Exempt Education: College degree required; journalism or communications emphasis preferred. Skills: This position requires exceptional news judgment; strong leadership skills; the ability to work closely with others; creativity in supervising fast-paced newscasts; be aggressive with breaking news coverage; strong organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and a clear knowledge of libel law. Experience: Five years experience required; will consider medium or large market newscast producer. Must demonstrate ability to manage people and resources. Duties: Supervise morning and midday newscasts. Maintain editorial direction set by News Director; approve show rundowns; copy edit producer/reporter scripts; work closely with assignment desk and reporters, help producers with writing, showcasing; work with producers/ production crew on quality control of newscasts; conduct morning planning meetings; make sure website is updated, along with Facebook/Twitter; handle producer schedules; help with job recruitment.
