| This wide-ranging thirty minute interview began with asking Mr. Skolnik about the
images portrayed in one of the greatest movies of all time, The Shawshank Redemption-
to the reality of what life is really like behind the walls of the Nevada prison system.
Mr. Skolnik stated that behind the walls is a real city, one that provides everything from
meals, lodging, laundry, medical, to commissary and programming. Programming has
become so important that there are prisons who serve bag meals for lunch. Host Bob
Fisher was surprised to learn that the budget for meals in Nevada prisons is $2.50 per
day. Meals are planned by a Dietician. Next to education, prisons take the largest chunk
of funding out of the state budget. Howard pointed out that prisons do not rehabilitate
their population. It is the inmate who ultimately decides their priorities. He spoke of the
ratio of guards and staff to inmates. Other topics covered included the Judicial System,
training of guards and support staff, Inmate Socialization, the boredom of prison and
funding.

| Brig. General William R. Burks is currently the Adjadent General for the State of Nevada
and explains during this program exactly what his job is and how well he feels he’s doing

Homeland Security Commission and asked the question, “Are we prepared for a major
disaster or terrorist attack?” General Burks discussed the mission of the Nevada National

| This program was a continuation of the previous week’s program with seven of the
brightest students in the Clark County School District. These students continued to
express their concerns about higher education and the increasing costs to attend
an institution of higher learning. The nation’s economy was one of the topics fore-
most on their minds. They talked about the Silver States budget crisis and gave in-
teresting solutions to solve it. There were more concerns about local and state
government making cuts in educational funding. They all looked ahead at what’s
in their futures and, in general, what’s in store for them in the coming years. A pro-
gram that focused on what’s right about today’s students and not what’s wrong with
them.

| On this program, host Bob Fisher interviewed seven of the brightest students in the
Clark County School District on Part 1 for the Las Vegas Sun Youth Forum. This pro-
gram was not about what’s wrong with today’s students but what’s right about today’s
students. These students were asked a number of questions about the Clark County
School District and why its national rating is so low compared to other school districts.
They discussed the Iraq and Afghanistan wars…some in agreement with the Govern-
ment’s decisions and others were not. They were quite concerned about the unem-
ployment levels not only in Nevada but around the country. Many discussed the
economic recession and how it’s effecting all walks of life. These are students with
their minds on the future.

| Congresswoman Dina Titus joined host Bob Fisher on this Observations program.
A lot has happened in Washington, D.C. during the time Dina Titus has been a
Nevada Representative. She chatted with Bob, one on one, bringing the Nation’s
Capital into perspective for the listening audience. She discussed the Healthcare
Plan, both Republican and Democratic plans, she talked about education funding
in Nevada and how cuts will affect all levels of education. Dina spoke of the current
budget crisis facing the Silver State, the declining construction industry and how the
recession is impacting both Las Vegas and Reno, not to mention the rural areas of the
state. She also mentioned her upcoming re-election bid to keep her seat in the
House of Representatives. She said she has very little time and sometimes works
over 10 hours a day. Dina Titus is a hard worker and demonstrated that admirable
trate during this very informative interview.

songs. His Hip Hop music reflects positive ideas into the minds of Hip Hop lovers. He
works with young adults to educate about the positive things in life. He has recorded
several Hip Hop songs that have become quite popular in the music industry. B. Taylor
has been compared to Stevie Wonder and has many of the recording industry giants
on his side and helping him along. He sings one of his famous songs on the program

| During this program, Betty Hammond-Relay Nevada Administrator used sign language
to communicate with Kathy Bennett-Director of the Las Vegas Charter School of the
Deaf. There were periods of silence during the program when Betty was communicating
questions to Kathy from host Bob Fisher. The Charter School of the Deaf was created
to assist the deaf, hard of earing, deaf and blind and speech disabled Nevadans. Relay
Nevada is a free service that provides full telephone accessibility to these disabled in-
dividuals. They can use Relay Nevada to make telephone calls to family, businesses or
anyone in the world. Relay Nevada operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. They
discussed how modern technology has had an incredible effect in helping the disabled
live a normal life…being able to communicate without restrictions.

discuss Physical Therapy and how, with the new modern techniques, people are re-
covering from auto accidents, sports injuries, back ailments and other forms of body
aches through Physical Therapy. He has been serving the State of Nevada Residents
for over 40 years and is a native of the state.
