| Las Vegas Sun Youth Forum-Pt 2 |
| This program was a continuation of the previous week’s program with seven of the
brightest students in the Clark County School District. These students continued to
express their concerns about higher education and the increasing costs to attend
an institution of higher learning. The nation’s economy was one of the topics fore-
most on their minds. They talked about the Silver States budget crisis and gave in-
teresting solutions to solve it. There were more concerns about local and state
government making cuts in educational funding. They all looked ahead at what’s
in their futures and, in general, what’s in store for them in the coming years. A pro-
gram that focused on what’s right about today’s students and not what’s wrong with
them.

| Las Vegas Sun Youth Forum-Pt 1 |
| On this program, host Bob Fisher interviewed seven of the brightest students in the
Clark County School District on Part 1 for the Las Vegas Sun Youth Forum. This pro-
gram was not about what’s wrong with today’s students but what’s right about today’s
students. These students were asked a number of questions about the Clark County
School District and why its national rating is so low compared to other school districts.
They discussed the Iraq and Afghanistan wars…some in agreement with the Govern-
ment’s decisions and others were not. They were quite concerned about the unem-
ployment levels not only in Nevada but around the country. Many discussed the
economic recession and how it’s effecting all walks of life. These are students with
their minds on the future.
